Our BIOACT'EAM Team has been successful in the TEKNOFEST 2022 Biotechnology Competition green category pre-evaluation stage with their project titled "The use of bioplastics prepared with activated carbon technology by integrating them into drip irrigation systems". Our team consists of Molecular Biology and Genetics students Fatma Özlem Urgan, Melike Ebrar Bakırcı, Ayşenur Yıldız, Beyza Nur Karaca and Hacer Ravza Uçar, and Bioengineering Department student Elmas Nur Ekmekçibaşı, supervised by Dr. Ezgi Aytaç from Plant Production and Technologies Department. Our team aims to produce a solution by addressing the environmental pollution problem caused by plastics used in agricultural areas.
