This year, at TEKNOFEST 2022, the World's Largest Technology Festival held for the 5th time in the Black Sea region, our students Mahmut Çetin, Basri Samet Boylu, and Mehmet Bal, who became the first in Turkey in the TÜBİTAK Inter-University Project Competitions Food and Agriculture category, received their awards from our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The Tarus Team, consisting of Electrical-Electronics Engineering students Mahmut Çetin, Basri Samet Boylu, and Mehmet Bal, and whose Academic Advisor is Dr. Instructor Zafer Arıcan, earned the first place in the Food and Agriculture category with their "Tarbot II - Weed Detection and Weeding Robot" project by successfully completing all stages. Developing an agriculture robot that can autonomously move, detect sugar beets and weeds using machine learning methods, and weed them out with its unique weeding mechanism, our students received their awards at the award ceremony attended by our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at TEKNOFEST 2022.
